Suggestions, please?

We want to buy a treadmill (soon, hopefully) but do not have experience in this department. Have you ever owned a treadmill? What would you suggest? Any name brands or certain features? Where would you suggest we look for the best deal (remember I'm a bargain shopper)? Help me out!

Hey.......found your post thru Jessica's blog. I love seeing all the different styles! I saw this post and thought I'd offer a suggestion. Do you know if there is a local craiglist.com for your area? If so, log in and browse. You may find what you want, at good prices. My hubby bought weights that way and he was thrilled. Some guy bought a set a year, maybe 1-1/2 years, and never used them. He had the major set with every pully, push, thingy out there (sorry no techinical terms here-LOL) and DH only paid $300! Good luck!!!

I have a Trimline--it is close to commercial quality. We tried the department store brands and they just weren't quite durable enough for a good jog or run. I love the treadmill. It doesn't have many bells and whistles, but has everything you need (mileage, calorie, programs, heart rate monitor). We got a great deal at a fitness supply store--it was a floor model.

It really depends on how much you want to spend, but in the long run, especially if you will be using it quite often, a quality one is worth it. The Trimline comes with a lifetime motor warranty. We've had it three years, use it about 3-5 days a week (both my husband and I) and we've had zero issues.

it may help start your search. I checked out tons of reviews online before deciding on the Trimline. The BEST one was about a $1,000 out of our price range

Craigslist, Play it Again Sports, Dicks (has awesome coupons and online deals) are great places to shop . . .

Good luck!
