I know I have told you one or twenty stories regarding the funny things that Miss Mary Margaret says, but I have to tell another one.
This is the last time....perhaps.
The dear hubby has had pneumonia for quite some time. I've explained that "Daddy is very sick and he needs his rest" about a hundred times.
This week, I overheard her playing in her room with her dolls. Here is how the conversation transpired:
Doll #1: How are you today?
Doll #2: Fine. How are you?
Doll #1: My Daddy is very sick.
Doll #2: Oh no! What is wrong with him?
Doll #1: He has the humps.
So of course, I bust into the room and ask her about the humps.
Mary Margaret says, "I don't know, but Little Bear's friend had it on TV and she was really sick."
If MM has told you that her Daddy was sick with the humps, let me clarify. He does not, in fact, have the humps. Just so you know.
What am I going to do with that girl?
Oh and on another note, we put up the Christmas tree this weekend. Have you decorated yet?

My love affair with monogrammed items began long ago with Laverne. That's right from Laverne and Shirley. Oh when she would wear that "L" on her sweater, I would just wish to be her roomie so I could borrow all those shirts. Now not only do I love to have home items monogrammed, I adore having my girls' names on everything. I also love to give monogrammed items as gifts. My aunt owns her own monogramming business, thus increasing the monogram accessibility. Here are some of this season's monograms....it's an addiction, really. Don't tell my husband! Let's just keep this between you and me:)

I did not not buy the girls 2 more matching outfits. Ok, 3 more. Please hubby, I hope you are not reading this and if you are, I am asking for forgiveness. The first step is admitting you have a problem....right?
I did not stay in my pajamas all day Friday.
I did not order out Friday night just because....well, just because.
I did not beg incessantly to my hubby to put up the Christmas tree on Sunday. He refused. I'm still not speaking to him (just kidding, but barely)!
I did not take 150 pictures of the girls playing in the leaves.
I did not cook soup for the 3rd time in a week.
I did not let the girls destroy the living room Sunday afternoon, while I pretended not to notice.
I did not feel guilty for playing on the computer Sunday afternoon while the girls destroyed the living room.
I did not lose a library book for the very first time (EVER) last week and have to spend $15 for the fine. Dang, those Berenstain Bears.
I did not continue to make HJ a bottle even though she is 14 months old. Hey, sometimes you've got to pick your battles. At least she is almost weaned from all that nursing.
What about you? Tell me something you did not do! And don't forget to head over the MckMama's blog for more Not Me Monday!

Last week was full of fun festivities! Mary Margaret's pre-school class visiting the McElrath farm for a Fall Fun day. The day was packed full including face painting, "fishing" for candy, hot cocoa, hay ride, playing on the playground, jumping on the trampoline, and cracking open the pumpkin pinata. We had so much fun! My mom kept Harper Jane b/c it was so very cold. McElrath Mommy (Leanne) made the cutest snack bags for the kiddos. Here a few pics:
Then on Wednesday I took the girls (by myself) to Huntsville shopping for Mary Margaret. She wanted to go to Toys R' Us and pick out her birthday presents. Here are the girls by the end of the afternoon. We understand the meaning "Shop til you drop!"
I still have to share Halloween and Mary Margaret's 5th birthday party. See I told you, we are all partied out!
