Yesterday, Harper and I were going to meet my sister for lunch. She insisted on taking her baby doll with us. We were trying to hurry -- wait, I was trying to hurry.
SIDE NOTE: Children (or at the very least my children) do NOT understand the following phrases: We are late, please hurry, or get your tail in gear.
Harper sadly dropped her baby down the brick stairs while going out the side door. It was a sad event. Harper started to frown and she had that trembling lip (that just about kills me). She rushed down the steps, picked up that baby, and said ever-so-sweetly, "Come here baby. Let me hold you. Bless your heart!"
Now, friends, that is a true Southern lady!

OH, precious! Amelia says "bless your heart", too and it's about all I can do not to melt in a puddle. Or strut my proud Southern momma self around - haha! ;o)
