Pancake Saturday

My girls get up every Saturday morning and head to the kitchen with their Daddy. Cartoons are turned on, pancake batter is mixed, and bacon is thrown in the microwave. This weekly tradition is an obsession. They race to the kitchen for the prime mixing spot. Harper Jane won this past Saturday!

This past weekend Mary Margaret was on a roll.

The husband said, "I really would like some wings."

MM replied, "Dad, you wouldn't fit through the front door AND you couldn't fly with them! That's silly!"

I laughed so hard I was snorting.

The Aftermath--Part I

BEFORE

It was an F-3 tornado that hit our little community. What a miracle that we survived! We have been told by rescue workers that all those trees in our backyard saved us. I was told just today by our roofer that it looks like the back portion of the roof was almost pulled off. I don't even want to imagine it....
